About Aiysha

Counselling is more than a profession for me - it is a calling. I believe that being truly heard, understood and accepted can make a profound difference when life feels difficult. My aim is to walk alongside you as you navigate your life experiences, offering a warm, authentic and non-judgemental space to explore what you are going through. Together, we can develop greater awareness and understanding of yourself, your experiences and your relationships, supporting you towards healing and meaningful change.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within its Ethical Framework, committed to safe, professional and ethical practice. My journey began with a degree in psychology followed by four years of therapeutic training.

I also bring my own lived experience to my work. As a mixed-race woman, a mum in a neurodivergent family and someone who has lived and worked abroad, I understand experiences of identity, belonging, difference, change and new beginnings. My own experiences have played a significant part in leading me to counselling and shaped my belief in the importance of compassionate genuine support.

Whatever brings you to counselling, you don't have to have everything figured out. We can start where you are, together.

What we can work through together

People come to counselling for many different reasons. I believe everyone deserves to be seen and be heard. My role as a counsellor is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your experiences, develop awareness and find your own path forward.

I have experience and interest in supporting adults with:

• Anxiety, depression and stress.
• Grief, loss and life changes.
• Fertility, IVF and pregnancy loss.
• Relationship difficulties and self-esteem.
• Neurodivergence and identity.
• Bullying and feeling different.
• Trauma and difficult life experiences.

Taking the First Step

Your First Step

I offer a free 15 minute introductory telephone call. This gives you an opportunity to tell me a little about what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions and get a sense of whether I might be the right counsellor for you. There is no pressure or obligation to book a session.  You can contact me by email, phone or filling out the form below.

Sessions & Availability

I offer in-person counselling in a comfortable private space at Sugarford House, South Bar Street in Banbury on Fridays, with morning, afternoon and evenings appointments available, and Saturday mornings between 9am and 1pm.

Online counselling sessions are also available on other days, subject to availability.

Fees

My standard fee is £55 per 50-minute session with a limited number of consessionary spaces available.
